The woman beneath the trauma
Welcome to another week inside our wonderment blog.
Safety and self-connection have been an internal battle for most of the women who have experienced trauma. One of the recurring themes is being misled by assumptions, which can affect our process but also how we show up.
The reason I started this new weekly blog series actually came from a conversation I had with clients about their specific needs.

These workbooks are designed to support self-reflection, emotional regulation, and holistic healing through grounded spiritual practices. Each workbook offers a gentle, structured space to slow down, listen inward, and reconnect with your own inner wisdom without pressure, perfection, or spiritual bypassing.
Rather than providing answers or predictions, these workbooks guide you back to self-trust, discernment, and embodied awareness. They are intentionally trauma-informed and suitable for sensitive, intuitive individuals navigating healing, personal growth, or spiritual exploration. Practices are invitational, flexible, and meant to be adapted to your unique needs and pace.
Across all titles, you’ll find:
Reflective journaling prompts
Grounding and integration practices
Emotional and energetic boundary awareness
Tools that support nervous-system safety
A focus on integration into everyday life
These workbooks are not a replacement for medical, psychological, or therapeutic care. They are supportive companions designed to deepen self-awareness, encourage sustainable wellness, and help you cultivate clarity, confidence, and alignment from within.
Whether you are exploring confidence, protection, intuition, ancestral healing, or spiritual connection, each workbook meets you where you are and supports you in moving forward with intention, compassion, and integrity.
Workbooks are either printable or usable digitally. Check your spam folder for the digital download, or create an account to keep track of all your downloads.

When we write stuff down, we are making strides towards creating new neural pathways within the brain to form new habits, strengthen our beliefs, and encourage a more supportive and loving future for ourselves and those we love.
This week's core message:
You are more than what happened to you...
Before we get into this week's message,
Ask yourself:
" am I here present in this moment?"
If not, pause, save this, and come back when you're ready.
I also recorded an audio version and embedded it on our blog for tho se who prefer audio-based learning and knowledge retention.
Check out this helpful article I found on Indeed.
No matter your learning style, it's best to do the prep work before you dive in.
Our greatest issue is literacy, and when we become proactive, things will make more sense, and your stress level will noticeably drop.
Hand to heart and belly exercise:
Find a comfortable place, and we will begin:
One practice that has been extremely supportive along my path and those I have worked with is "Grounding." Beginning to open your state of awareness without understanding the importance of having an anchor, like grounding, can be challenging. This week’s exercise will help you maintain a sense of autonomy and balance within your mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual wellness. Bring your attention to your breath. Begin by allowing air to flow naturally through your nose and exhaling through your mouth. Begin to regulate your breathing and relax your mind using an anchor or mantra.
Check out this mantra I pulled for this week.
Think about how this mantra sits within your body.
Remember to observe and not react. By being observant, we can be more aware of hidden assumptions and inner dialogue that may be taking us away from our peace.
Cliff note:
A heart that spent years surviving
reduces the quality of life within
the sweet balance between the fold
reveals the details we need to act
Affirmation:
"I am stepping deeply into my womanhood with love"
Journaling prompt:
When you think about your life in terms of color, what feelings, themes, and thoughts come up for you?
Remember to give yourself grace this week.
If this week's reflection resonated with you, this month's Seastar Sisterhood workshop takes this conversation deeper. Build a custom meditation, join us on TikTok, or curl up with your favorite hot drink and read one of my books.
Sometimes the maps we follow can be outdated, and the memories that have ruled our minds are the same things that can liberate us. Remember, “the map is not the territory”.
You didn't fail, you learned how to survive, and now it's time for you to thrive.
Love you,
Elise
